Garth Brooks, the cowboy hat-wearing country singer who has become a major pop superstar, will play the USF Sun Dome at 8 p.m. Nov. 19. Opening the show will be Martina McBride. Brooks last appeared in the bay area in January '91 as part of a major package show at the Florida Suncoast Dome. Tickets are $17 (plus service charge) and go on sale Saturday through Ticketmaster. Because of the high demand for tickets and the Sun Dome's relatively small capacity of about 10,000 seats, a lottery system will be in effect. This is to meant to hamper scalpers and discourage fans from camping out. At 8 a.m., people will be allowed to gather in line; at 9 they will receive a random number to determine their position in the line for sales. At 10 a.m. the tickets go on sale.
