The annual meeting of the Pioneer Florida Museum Association is scheduled at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Mabel Jordan Barn on the museum grounds in Dade City.
Association President Mary Louise Brock will give a progress report. Alice Hall, chairwoman of the nomination committee, will preside over the election of seven trustees who will serve for three-year terms. Museum curator Donna Swart and assistant curator Betty Hinson will recognize life members.
After the meeting, refreshments will be served in the barn. Participants then will assemble in the main museum building for the dedication of a collection of memorabilia from descendants of Issac W. and Amanda Hudson, who settled the Hudson community in the 1870s. The collection has been presented to the museum by the Hudson's great-grandson, Wyman Hudson of Dade City. The donor's grandfather was the late, longtime Pasco County Sheriff, Ike Hudson, and his father was the late, longtime Dade City Chief of Police, Leon Hudson.
Members and friends of the association will be guests for a chicken dinner before the business meeting. Father Marion Bowman will give the invocation and benediction.
