The West Coast Regional Water Supply Authority will have a meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at Keystone Park to discuss its proposed pipeline project. Jonathan Kennedy, director of resource development, will give an overview of the authority, discuss the recommended water-line route and answer questions regarding the project.
Kennedy said the project will involve replacing a bad pipe and installing 50 miles of transition line in the next three years. A portion of the line will go through northwest Hillsborough.
The authority is an inter-local government agency, created under state statutes by three counties and two major cities of the Tampa Bay area. Kennedy said, "We develop and supply the potable water to each of our member governments and then they retail it to their own customers."
For information, contact Linda Roberson at the authority, 996-2835. Keystone Park is at 18010 Gunn Highway.
