There's more mixing and less matching going on these days at Laura Ashley.
Which is not to say that things are jumbled up. The London-based manufacturer of decorative fabrics, wallcoverings, linens and accessories _ known for its coordinated, English look _ still seems pulled together. The company says its designers are merely responding to the eclecticism of the '90s.
Plaids, stripes and checks have been showing up among recent collections, alongside the standard florals. Of course, colors are still coordinated, so the decoratively challenged needn't suffer too much over excruciating decisions.
