Russ Munch was named director of managed care for National Insurance Services Inc., Tampa. Munch was with PARTNERS/

Aetna, the managed care division of Aetna Health Plans of Florida Inc.


Marc Sachs was appointed chairman of the eminent domain committee of the Hillsborough County Bar Association for 1992-93. Sachs is a partner in the Tampa office of Brigham Moore Gaylord Wilson Ulmer Schuster & Sachs. The committee implements educational and informational programs, seminars and articles for more than 2,500 local bar association members and practitioners.


Duane Walker was named public relations coordinator at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, Tampa. Walker served as an associate with The Stephens Co. in Ybor City and as a marketing research assistant at Poe & Associates, Tampa. Walker also played in the minor leagues for the Detroit Tigers baseball team.

Cynthia A. Sharpe was named director of public relations for AAA Auto Club South, Tampa. Sharpe served as special projects and public relations coordinator at The Shrine of North America and Shriners Hospitals for Crippled Children. She also was employed by Hill and Knowlton Inc. and the Tampa Tribune.


Richard E. Ludwig was elected chairman of the board of Goodwill Industries-Suncoast Inc. for 1992-93. Ludwig is president of TECO Power Services Inc.


SouthTrust Bank, St. Petersburg, has announced the following appointments:

Angela "Candy" Christensen was appointed branch manager of the mid-city office. Christensen, a vice president, was with Barnett Bank of Broward County. She is past president of the Gulf Central Chapter of the National Association of Bank Women and received the YMCA Tribute to Woman in Industry Award in 1989.

Phillip J. Burns was appointed branch manager of the Pinellas Park office. Burns, also a vice president, was with First Union National Bank. He also served as senior vice president at First Pinellas Financial Group. He has been on the Pinellas Park Planning and Zoning Commission and has served as a board member of the Pinellas Park Chamber of Commerce, Pinellas County Boys Club, Metropolitan General Hospital and the Pinellas Park Community Redevelopment Committee. He is a past president of the Pinellas Park Rotary Club.
