A look at how major-college football players with Hernando County ties are faring this season

Marlin Green (Hernando), Navy, DB, 5-9, 186, So.

Green played mainly on special teams, and made no tackles, in 0-5 Navy's 18-16 loss at Air Force on Saturday. Navy lost on a field goal with 49 seconds remaining. Next: Oct. 24, home vs. Delaware. Season stats: 1 tackle, 2 assists, 3 total.

Robert Harris (Hernando), Kentucky, TE, 6-4, 230, Jr.

Kentucky (3-2) was idle Saturday. Next: Saturday, at Louisiana State. Season stats: 1 reception, 12 yards.

Carlos Timmons (Hernando), Eastern Kentucky, DE, 6-1, 213, So.

Timmons, a starter, assisted on one tackle in 4-1 Eastern Kentucky's 46-14 loss at Samford (Ala.). Samford improved from No. 17 to No. 13 in the national rankings; EKU fell from No. 4 to No. 11. Next: 8 p.m. (Eastern time) Saturday at No. 7 Middle Tennessee State University, televised live on the Sportssouth cable network (shown in parts of South Florida). Season totals: 13 tackles, 17 assists, 30 total, 1 caused fumble, 1 pass deflection.
