Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Emmitte J. Brown, son of Sallie R. Brown of St. Petersburg, recently deployed aboard the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy, based at Norfolk, Va., to take part in Navy Fleet Exercise "Fleetex" off the Virginia and North Carolina coasts. The exercise will introduce a new approach to naval exercises. Brown is a 1986 graduate of Dixie Hollins High School.
Marine Pfc. Robert M. Cannon, son of Robert M. Cannon Sr. of Gulfport, recently reported for duty with Marine Corps Security Force Company, Naval Weapons Station Earle Colts Neck, N.J.

Cardoza of St. Petersburg, recently returned aboard the submarine tender USS Hunley, based in Norfolk, Va., from a two-week relief effort to hurricane-stricken south Florida. Cardoza is a 1983 graduate of St. Petersburg High School.
Air Force Airman First Class Brett R. Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert T. Davis of St. Petersburg, has been assigned to the 338th Combat Training Squadron as a B-1B ground crew specialist. Davis is a 1991 graduate of Dixie Hollins High School. He also attended the American University of Paris. Davis recently graduated from Sheppard Air Force Base Technical Training Center, Wichita Falls, Texas.
Marine Lance Cpl. Lloyd D. Harding, son of Beverly Schrecougoot of St. Petersburg, and Marine Lance Cpl. Terry L. Sowers, son of Diane M. Sowers of St. Petersburg, are currently with 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, Camp Lejeune, N.C., which was involved in search and rescue efforts in September for an Italian G-222 cargo plane with four people aboard that went down in what was formerly known as Yugoslavia while flying United Nations relief missions into Sarajevo. The incident marked the first time Marines had been sent into the country. Harding is a 1986 graduate of Dixie Hollins High School.
Navy Petty Officer 1st Class John W. Hueg, son of Marie E. Hueg of St. Petersburg, recently deployed aboard the frigate USS Capodanno, based in Newport, R.I., is also taking part in Navy Fleet Exercise "Fleetex."
Coast Guard Ensign Sean F. Lester, a 1987 graduate of Admiral Farragut Academy of St. Petersburg and a 1991 graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, New London, Conn., recently returned aboard the Coast Guard cutter Gallatin, based in Governors Island, N.Y., after a seven-week deployment in the Atlantic Ocean.
Army Pvt. LaWana D. McCall, daughter of Josephine and Reuben McCall of St. Petersburg, has been deployed to Guantanamo Naval Station, Cuba, to support U.S. efforts in providing humanitarian assistance and relief to thousands of Haitian migrants. McCall is a 1987 graduate of Pinellas Park High School.
Air Force Airman Lisa A. Narreau-Gruber, daughter of Adeline E. Mailloux of St. Petersburg and David Narreau of Plattsburgh, N.Y., has arrived for duty at San Vito Dei Normanni Air Station, Brindisi, Italy, where she serves as an apprentice printer systems specialist.

Peach of St. Petersburg, recently returned aboard the destroyer tender USS Sierra, based in Charleston, S.C., from a two-week relief effort to hurricane-stricken south Florida. Peach is a 1979 graduate of St. Petersburg High Shool.
Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer William T. Russell, a 1975 graduate of Lakewood High School, recently reported for duty with Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron-3, Naval Air Station, Jacksonville.
Marine Gunnery Sgt. Anthony Santo, son of Lucy M. Santo of St. Petersburg, recently participated in a major maritime exercise with Marine Attack Squadron-311, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, Marine Corps Air Station, Yuma, Ariz. Santo is one of 20,000 sailors, airmen, Marines, soldiers and Coast Guardsmen taking part in training operations, which employ about 19 ships and submarines and 200 aircraft.
Marine Cpl. Clayton T. Stelges, son of Harry C. and Carolyn A. Stelges of St. Petersburg, recently participated in a combined arms exercise at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, Calif. He is a 1989 graduate of Boca Ciega High School.
Army Capt. Harry B. Williams, son of Clayton and Mattie Williams of St. Petersburg, has arrived for duty at Yongsan Garrison, Seoul, South Korea, where he is a brigade adjutant. He is a 1987 graduate of Boca Ciega High School and a 1990 graduate from a master's program at Troy State University, Ala.
