Who's who among performers

Over the years, the Clearwater Jazz Holiday has attracted well-known and respected jazz musicians including Nancy Wilson, Sonny Rollins and Maynard Ferguson, as well as local favorites. Acoustic, mainstream jazz is the focus of the festival, but innovative styles are also welcome.

Task force start

In 1990, the Clearwater Jazz Holiday Foundation was formed as a task force to organize and run the festival. It is made up of community volunteers.

Kick off the festival

A kick-off party to open the 1992 Jazz Holiday festivities will be from 6 to 8:30 tonight at the Atrium in Clearwater Square, 601 Cleveland St. It features Roseanna Vitro, who has been a featured performer on the Jazz Holiday schedule in previous years. This year's Jazz Holiday scholarship winner, Randall Goodgame, also will perform.
