Powell Middle School will end its first nine-week grading period Wednesday. Report cards will be sent home with students during the first week of November.
The school also will hold nine-week exams Monday through Wednesday during regular classes.
The school will hold its annual Halloween dance from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Oct. 30 in the gym. Admission is $3. Students need a signed permission slip from their parents for admission to the dance. Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes. Parent volunteers are needed to help with chaperoning and concession sales. For information, call 799-0555.
Moton to exhibit Russian student art
Moton Elementary School is once again participating in the Americans and Russians Together Exchange for the 1992-93 school year. The first exhibition will be held Monday through Oct. 30. The primary purpose of the exchange is to enable Russian and American children to become better acquainted with each other through art and pen pal relationships.
