Five county and federal law enforcement agencies this week thwarted a potential drug deal after making a traffic stop in Weeki Wachee, on U.S. 19 south of State Road 50. On Wednesday, according to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office, word came that a bronze Mazda 626 with Connecticut plates was bound for Central Florida from Texas. The car was believed to be carrying marijuana. Authorities stopped Donald Corr, 38, of Hudson, near Weeki Wachee Spring. A Pasco County sheriff's drug dog led authorities to two burlap bags in the Mazda's trunk, holding about 107 pounds of marijuana. With the help of the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, U.S. Customs and the federal Drug Enforcement Agency, Hernando and Pasco officials Thursday made "a controlled delivery" of the narcotics in Pasco County. Arrested at the home in Holiday were Rickard Johnson and Andrew Solie. Authorities seized two vehicles and $54,000 in cash, along with the marijuana. Johnson, Solie and Corr were charged with trafficking.
