The Quasses

Betty and Raymond Quass recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

The Quasses were married on May 23, 1943, in Reedurban Presbyterian Church, Reedurban, Ohio. They lived in Canton, Ohio, until 1980, when they moved to Timber Pines. They are members of Hudson United Methodist Church, where Betty is a member of the choir and the handbell ringers. Both enjoy music and golf.

The Quasses have three daughters: Janet Rosensweig and her husband Larry of Ashland, Ohio; Linda Quass of Roswell, Ga.; and Cyndi Casanova and her husband Wil, of Punta Gorda. They also have three granddaughters.

The Quasses enjoyed a family dinner celebration on May 15 at The Red Barn in Plant City. An open house will be offered to family and friends in Ohio next month at Church of the Lakes United Methodist Church.

The Virtuosos

Carlo "Carl" and Mary Virtuoso recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

The Virtuosos were married May 1, 1943, in St. Lucy's Church in the Bronx, N.Y. Mr. Virtuoso spent the World War II years as a mechanic in Hawaii. During that time Mrs. Virtuoso worked for Western Electric soldering aircraft components. The couple left New York and moved to Spring Hill 24 years ago, where Mr. Virtuoso and his son ran a small Texaco gas station in New Port Richey.

The Virtuosos have two children: Carl and his wife, Sandi, who live in New Port Richey; and Susan, who lives in Madeira Beach. They also have three grandchildren. The family celebrated with Mr. Virtuoso at Park Lake Village Care Center, where he has been a resident for about 1{ years.
