Flyers send goalie back to Jets

Reversing a trade made eight months ago, the Philadelphia Flyers sent goaltender Stephane Beauregard to the Winnipeg Jets for two draft picks.

The Flyers will receive their own third-round choice this year and a fifth-round pick in 1994.

The teams in February negotiated a deal that would have returned Beauregard to the Jets. But the NHL revoked the trade, citing a bylaw that a player obtained within four weeks of the waiver draft can't be sent back to the team from which he was acquired.
