Tell the truth. Be brutally honest. In all your trips to the beach, have you ever seen one of those nymphs who grace the annual Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition? Ever see one of those suits? All dental floss and gold beads?
Didn't think so. They may be out there, but models such as Kathy Ireland somehow never make it to our sunny shores.
In a continuing search for truth, justice and the Great American Swimsuit, the Times takes a Real Trip to the Real Beach.
These are real people in real swimsuits. Models may not bound and frolic in the surf, but we have a pretty good looking bunch of folks in Tampa Bay, even without $200 suits and lots of make-up.
Eat your heart out, Kathy Ireland.
