Silcott installed as new Woman's Club president

New officers for 1993-94 were installed by the Sun City Center Woman's Club during special ceremonies recently.

Fritzie Silcott was installed as president.

Other officers are Lee Trevino, first vice president; Dolores Berens, second vice president; Betty Stone, third vice president; Janet Wilson, recording secretary; Margaret Meen, corresponding secretary; Sarah Payne, membership secretary; and Jane Cilley, treasurer.

Winifred Upchurch and Catherine Henley were installed as directors.

The club is affiliated with both the Florida Federation of Women's Clubs and General Federation of Women's Clubs.

De Matteis victor in golf tourney

Rocco De Matteis won the Knights of Columbus-Shriners Golf Tournament last month with a net score of 64. Rob Abramowski and George Gauthier tied for second place with a score of 66.

Shooting closest to the pin on the par-three holes were Leo Van Lingen, Jack Price, Chet Walters and Stan Total.

A total of 144 golfers participated in the event.

Bob Stuckey, Bob James, Bob Ericson, Bob Joseph, Don Wessels and Abramowski were the committee members representing the Knights of Columbus. Carl Croft, Walt Fishback, John Sands, Jack Price and Bob Stevens were the committee members for the Shriners.
