Crash traps woman

A rescue worker administers oxygen to Julie McLaughlin on Tuesday as others try to free her from her smashed Chevrolet Blazer.

Julie McLaughlin's Blazer rolled Tuesday morning in the Wendy's lot on Fourth Street near 90th Avenue N in St. Petersburg after being hit from behind by a vehicle driven by Kenneth Miller, 27, of Largo, authorities said. It took nearly an hour to free McLaughlin, 27, of 7977 25th Ave. N. She was treated and released from Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg. Miller was charged with careless driving, said police Officer J.C. Pratt.
