Cutter to mark 50th at The Pier

The Coast Guard cutter White Sumac will host a 50th-anniversary celebration July 9 at The Pier in St. Petersburg. The cutter was commissioned in the Navy in 1943 and was stationed in the New York City area and later in Earle, N.J.
