Ferry adds tropical touches

The Clearwater Ferry Service location at the west end of Drew Street on Clearwater's bayfront has been refurbished and now features a tropical seascape theme.

The recent renovations to the ferry station cost $9,000 and included a new roof, new sea blue exterior paint, additional fencing for crowd control and other decorative architectural details including Bahama shutters.

The Clearwater Ferry Service provides transportation to Clearwater Beach and Caladesi Island State Park from the downtown dock plus trips to Tarpon Springs and through Clearwater Harbor waters. A "dolphin encounter" cruise leaves three times daily, exploring the waters of St. Joseph Sound and the Gulf of Mexico. Call 442-7433.
