A 27-year-old woman was abducted on U.S. 301 on Tuesday evening, repeatedly raped and forced to smoke crack cocaine in a two-day kidnapping, Hillsborough County sheriff's officials said Friday.
The Gibsonton woman told authorities that at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, her car had run out of gas on U.S. 301 near Bloomingdale Avenue, and was approached by two men and a woman, said Lt. Robert Godding. The three assisted the woman, putting 5 gallons of gas into her car, but then the female suspect produced a .22-caliber automatic handgun and pushed the victim into the car, Godding said.
He said the suspects drove to a gas station with the woman in the passenger seat, got gas and drove off in an unknown direction on U.S. 301.
The woman told sheriff's deputies the suspects drove through Hillsborough, Pasco and Polk counties, stopping at locations unfamiliar to her.
Godding said during the following two days the suspects stopped several times to buy and smoke crack.
"The victim said they forced her to smoke crack approximately six times," Godding said.
Both men raped the woman in the car several times, Godding said.
Godding said that about 12:30 p.m. Thursday, the woman's car ran out of gas at Interstate 275 and Busch Boulevard. All three suspects ran from the car, headed westward down the embankment, leaving the woman in the car, he said.
Information about any injuries to the woman was not available Friday, Godding said.
The woman gave the following descriptions of her attackers:
One male suspect is black, in his 40s, 6-feet tall and 190 pounds. He was wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and brown work boots. The other man is about 30, black, 5-feet-8, and 210 pounds. He wore a tan T-shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. The last suspect is a black woman in her early 30s, 5-feet-11, about 100 pounds, wearing a light blue half tank top, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.
No arrests had been made as of Friday.
