Two men face a series of drug charges after being arrested Friday by Hernando County sheriff's deputies. Alex Gary Ridge, 33, and Ronald Lee Claverie, 38, both of 14439 Peach Orchard Road, northwest of Brooksville, were charged with eight and four counts, respectively, of possessing and selling drugs and having drug paraphernalia. Detectives said they found $1,500 worth of marijuana at the house. The discovery capped a two-month investigation that included drug purchases by undercover officers, a sheriff's report said. Ridge was being held Monday at the county jail in lieu of $31,500 bail. Claverie was released Saturday after posting $11,000 bail. In a separate case, Timothy Anthony Ellerbee, 23, of 15423 Blair Ave., was charged Sunday with possession and cultivation of marijuana after a deputy reported finding a marijuana plant in the back seat of a car Ellerbee was driving.
