Well-wishers root for baby elephant

One-year-old Bo Gyi wraps his trunk around his keeper as he is fed by bottle Sunday. The baby elephant, who broke a front leg in March when a clumsy bull elephant knocked him into the moat around their zoo enclosure, is getting daily acupuncture treatment to try to get him back on his feet, said Henk Hiddingh, biologist at the Northern Animal Park in Emmen, Netherlands. Bo Gyi has attracted a flood of sympathy from well-wishers, who have sent more than 1,000 cards.
