The Citrus County Veterans Affairs Advisory Board, which was established in July 1992, has three openings available for the next fiscal year. These positions will be for three years. Applications for membership are being accepted in the Citrus County Veterans Service Office. All applications must be submitted no later than Tuesday. Membership qualifications include United States military veterans who have an interest in the welfare of the veterans of Citrus County, who have been separated from the military service with an honorable discharge. Program pays energy bill
LECANTO _ The Citrus County Division of Housing Services is accepting applications for assistance under its Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program. LIHEAP provides for a one-time benefit payment per year for households that have a heating or cooling obligation and meet income eligibility guidelines. It is not necessary to be in an emergency or crisis situation to receive assistance. Applicants must provide a copy of their energy bill and proof of income for all household members. Help for single parents
SPRING HILL _ Parents Without Partners meets at 7:30 p.m. the first Thursday of the month at the VFW on Spring Hill Drive. All Citrus County single parents are invited. PWP is an international, non-profit, non-sectarian, educational organization devoted to the welfare of single parents and their children.
