DEATHS

LEBERT J. LOMBARDO, 88, who played the trumpet in the Royal Canadians, a band led by his brother, Guy Lombardo, died June 16 in Fort Myers of emphysema. With his brothers Guy and Carmen, Mr. Lombardo founded the Royal Canadians in 1923 and played trumpet with the band until 1979. After Guy's death in 1977, Lebert Lombardo became the sole owner of the band and its name, which has since 1980 been franchised to a succession of band leaders, said his brother-in-law, Kenneth A. Gardner.
