Ringers and Singers to perform

The Good Shepherd Ringers and Singers of First United Methodist Church of Dunedin will perform at a dinner Wednesday at the church. The group is part of the church's Good Shepherd Class for the mentally disabled.

Marsha Quinn, who has been blind since birth and lives in a Dunedin group home, will be soloist for the performance.

Reservations for the dinner, which costs $5, must be made by Monday; call the church at 733-4139 or 733-4130.

Ground broken for new school

CLEARWATER _ Ground was broken recently for a new middle school and media center at First Lutheran School, 1644 Nursery Road. The $450,000 expansion will include three classrooms, a computer room, a fine arts room, a library and a faculty meeting room.

Work is scheduled for completion this summer and will enable the school to increase enrollment from its present 215 pupils to 280. Call 461-3444.

GREEK FESTIVAL: Members of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral have been busy baking goodies in preparation for the two-day Greek Festival, which will begin at 9 a.m. Friday at the cathedral on Alt. U.S. 19 just south of Tarpon Avenue.
