Notes: The second half hasn't given the USF Bulls a second wind of late. They scored 19 points after intermission in a 65-40 home loss to Virginia Tech last Saturday and 20 in the second half Thursday at Tulane, when they blew an eight-point lead and lost 72-60. USF is 2-11 away from the Sun Dome. Southern Mississippi, which has lost its past two games, should be a candidate for hard-luck team of the year. Before a 89-73 loss at Auburn on Tuesday, the Golden Eagles had lost 10 games by a combined 33 points. Southern Mississippi leads the series 5-1 and has won the past four meetings, including 73-68 at the Sun Dome two weeks ago.
