HILLSBOROUGH OBITUARIES

BOICHET-DERVIN, JOSEPHINE, 81, of Sun City Center and Lansing, Mich., died Friday (Feb. 25, 1994) at South Bay Hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of Clinton County, Mich., and was a winter resident of Sun City Center for many years. She was the retired president of Boichet Concrete and a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. Survivors include several nieces, nephews and cousins. Florida Mortuary-Loyless Chapel, Tampa.

CHIAROTTINO, BONNIE A., 65, of Tampa and formerly of St. Petersburg, died Friday (Feb. 25, 1994) at Memorial Hospital, Tampa. Born in Rock Island, Ill., she came to Florida in 1979 from St. Louis. She was a member of St. Louis Shell Club and St. Petersburg Shell Club. Survivors include a daughter, Julia Theresa Ramsey, a son, Michael William Chiarottino, and a brother, William J. GONZALEZ, ANTHONY P., 66, of Tampa, died Thursday (Feb 24, 1994) at University Village Nursing Home. He was born in Cuba and moved to Tampa from Miami in 1979. He was a retired credit manager, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a Catholic. Survivors include his wife Gladys; a daughter, Gladys, Tampa; a brother, Michael, Reading, Pa.; and two grandchildren. Florida Mortuary-Loyless Chapel, Tampa.

HARVEY, J. E. "TED," 69, of Land O'Lakes, died Saturday (Feb. 26, 1994) in Tampa of cancer. He was born in Jacksonville, was raised in Tampa and moved to Land O'Lakes in 1947. He was a self-employed businessman in Land O'Lakes and had attended Saint Leo Preparatory, Saint Leo. He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II and retired from the U.S. Navy Reserve in 1985. He was a member of Land O'Lakes Chapter 120, Disabled American Veterans; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4283, Dade City; Lutz Post 108, American Legion; J.F. Swartsel Lodge 251, F&AM; and the Tampa Consistory of the Scottish Rite Egypt Shrine Temple. Survivors include his wife, Emma Lou; a son, Paul Harvey, Land O'Lakes; a sister, Kathryn Cardwell, Tampa; and several cousins. F. T. Blount Funeral Home, Lutz-Land O'Lakes Chapel, Lutz.

KING, JASON CHRISTOPHER, 19, of Riverview, died Friday (Feb. 25, 1994) at Tampa General Hospital from injuries sustained in an auto accident. He was a native of Tampa. He was a mechanic for King's Tune-up and a member of Brandon Ward 1 and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include his parents, Robert Dawson and Barbara Ann King, Riverview; four brothers, Robert Wade, Haverhill, Mass., Rickey Dean and Micah Charles, both of Riverview, and Jonathan Robert, Mesa, Ariz.; three sisters, Alexis Ann and Nicole Marie, both of Riverview, and April Lynette, Mesa; paternal grandmother, Ammie King, Riverview; maternal grandparents, Lucille and George Cook, Phoenix; and maternal great-grandmother, Pearl Hedine, Salem, Ore. MCATEER, T. SELWYN, 85, of Tampa, died Friday (Feb. 25, 1994) in Tampa. He was a native and lifelong resident of the area. He was a superintendent of the mechanical department of the Tampa Daily Times and the Tribune and retired after 51 years with the paper. He also managed his own citrus and cattle business in Thonotosassa for more than 40 years. Survivors include his wife, Nell G.; a son, Derrill F., Brooksville; a daughter, Carol Jean Spoto, Tampa; and three grandchildren. Curry and Son Funeral Home, Tampa.

PHAUP, VIOLA H., 80, of Tampa, died Friday (Feb. 25. 1994) in Tampa. She was born in Johnson County, N.C., and moved to Tampa from Richmond, Va., 15 years ago. She was a homemaker. THOMAS, POLLY O., 69, of Land O'Lakes, died Friday (Feb. 25, 1994) in Land O'Lakes. She was born in Ranburne, Ala., and moved to Land O'Lakes from Decatur, Ala., in 1984. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church of Land O'Lakes. Survivors include a son, James E., Tampa; a daughter, Susan Lee, Naples, Fla.; a sister, Mary York, Montgomery, Ala.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. F. T. WHITE, ROBERT, 70, of Sun City Center, and formerly of St. Petersburg, died Thursday (Feb. 24, 1994) at South Bay Hospital. Born in Clarksburg, W.Va., he lived in St. Petersburg from 1976-91 before moving to Sun City Center. He was a retired firefighter and a member of United Community Church and Sun City Center Lawn Bowling Association. During World War II, he served in the Army. Survivors include his wife, Ethel; a son James R., Lansing, Mich.; a sister, Marybelle Walsh, St. Petersburg; and two grandchildren. Lewers Funeral Home, Ruskin.
