The Chiselers Market Committee is completing plans for its 30th Annual Flea Market, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 10 at Plant Hall at the University of Tampa, 401 W Kennedy Blvd. Money raised from the event will be used for the Chiselers' continuing restoration of Plant Hall. Lorraine Miller, market chairwoman, and Anita Gillen, co-chairwoman, announced that the event is one of Tampa's largest one-day flea markets. Sale items will include jewelry, china, crystal, silver, plants, flowers, kitchenware, toys, tools, collectibles, books, art, furniture and gourmet food. School Bring-A-Bike Day
Chapel in the Pines Academy is looking for sponsors for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital's "Bring-A-Bike Day" safety program. The program begins at 10 a.m. Friday at the academy, 4546 Kelly Road. The event is designed to encourage safe riding behavior among children and to raise money to fight childhood cancer. Parents of children at the academy are seeking corporate and individual pledges for St. Jude Hospital; a child can either be sponsored by the number of laps he finishes or a set amount may be pledged instead.
