BANKING

Susan L. Kelley has been named vice president and trust investment officer for Trust and Investment Services Group of SunBank of Tampa Bay. She will be responsible for portfolio management in Hernando, Pasco and Citrus counties. Before joining the bank, Kelley was with First National Bank of Clearwater. She also was a trust investment officer with Wachovia Bank and Trust Co. in Winston-Salem, N.C.

CONSTRUCTION

C.A. Hofstetter has been named southeast regional vice president of Norwood Industrial Construction Co., headquartered in Jacksonville. He will manage Norwood's offices in Jacksonville and Tampa. Before joining the company, Hofstetter was with Federal Construction Co. in St. Petersburg.

EDUCATION

Dr. Maribeth Durst, professor of sociology at Saint Leo College, has been named to the State Board of Independent Colleges and Universities by Gov. Lawton Chiles. Durst has been at Saint Leo since 1979. She has served as chairwoman of the division of freshman studies, assistant vice president for academic support services, and associate vice president for enrollment management.

EMPLOYEE RELATIONS

Don Singletary has been promoted to vice president of employee relations for Atlanta-based Home Depot. Before joining Home Depot, Singletary served as human resources director for the company's southern division in Tampa.

FINANCIAL SERVICES

Jack D. Kester has been named vice president of institutional equity sales for Raymond James & Associates Inc., St. Petersburg. Before joining the company, Kester was a first vice president of institutional equity sales at McDonald & Co. Securities in Chicago. He also served as vice president of institutional equity sales with Robert W. Baird & Co. in Milwaukee.

HEALTH

Vista Publishing Inc. of Long Branch, N.J., has published Nurturing the Nurse on the Path to Success by Carolyn Travis Laskey of Seminole. The career development book addresses issues such as managing stress and burnout and developing marketing skills. For information call Vista at (800) 634-2498.

Cheri Wilson has been named director of professional services for Clearwater Community Hospital Home Care of Florida in Clearwater. Before the appointment, Wilson served as nursing supervisor.

PERSONNEL

Robert H. Pariseau has been named managing vice president of Alexander & Alexander Benefits Services Inc. in Tampa. Pariseau replaces Brian Cleary, who has been named north central division manager for the firm. Before the appointment, Pariseau served as vice president and account executive.

RESTAURANT

Herbert Brown, chairman of Checkers Drive-In Restaurants Inc. of Clearwater, has received the Tampa Bay Research Institute Humanitarian Award. Brown was selected for providing leadership to the Rotary International in fighting polio. The award is given to an individual who has achieved distinction in a chosen field while working toward the greater good of humankind. Brown has also been named president of Rotary International for the 1995-196 term.

TECHNOLOGY

Hamze Moussa has been promoted to manager of manufacturing for Technology Research Corp. in Clearwater. Moussa has been with the company since 1985.

TRAVEL

Annette Hostetter has been named regional president for UNIGLOBE Travel Inc. in Tampa. Hostetter joined UNIGLOBE five years ago in Houston as director of regional services.
