Ford Motor Co. is recalling 1992 and 1993 Crown Victoria models used by police and taxis because of a wiring problem. It also is recalling 1993 and 1994 model F-Series trucks and Broncos because of a problem with the bumpers. Ford said the wiring problem on the 16,400 Crown Victorias could cause a fire under the front seat. The company has had two reports of smoke or fire, but no reports of injury. Ford also is recalling about 400,000 F-Series trucks and Broncos. The company said the vehicles' front bumpers could be jarred loose because of faulty nuts fastening the bumper to the vehicle. The company said it knows of no injuries or accidents caused by the defective nuts.
