Jim Dunn, 43, grew up in the Seminole area and graduated from Seminole High. He also has an associate's degree from St. Petersburg Junior College. He is involved with the Kiwanis' Horses for the Handicapped program. Dunn, the council president, was elected in 1986 and is completing his fourth consecutive term. He works as a sales associate for a cellular phone company. His children, twins Keri and Christopher, attend Osceola High School.
Bob Matthews, 49, was born in Texas but grew up in Florida. He has lived in the Seminole area for 22 years. He has a degree in electronics from the Pinellas Vocational Technical Institute. Matthews was elected to the council in 1990 and is completing his second term. He works as a technician for Florida Power. He and his wife, Pat, have two children, Diana and Rob.
Dottie Reeder, 45, has lived in the Seminole area fo 30 years and is a graduate of Seminole High. She has a business degree from Tampa College. Reeder ran for a council seat in 1989 and lost but she was appointed to the council that year to replace a resigning member. She was elected in 1990 and 1992. She is chairwoman of the city's parks and recreation committee, the Seminole Pow Wow and the library board. She works as an employee benefits coordinator for Mease Hospital. She and her husband, Larry, have two daughters, Jennifer and Janet.
