Legal group to aid seniors adds a new location to its schedule

Beginning Thursday, Helping the Elderly with Legal Problems will be at the Alzheimer's Association, West Central Florida Chapter, 6640 Van Buren St., located at the New Port Richey Recreation Center, New Port Richey.

HELP assists senior citizens over 60 in Holiday and New Port Richey with legal problems. Those in need of assistance should call the West Central Florida Chapter at (813) 848-8888 for an appointment. Hours are 1 to 4 p.m. with half-hour appointments, twice a month.

HELP will continue to serve its Port Richey and Hudson clients at CARES, 7505 Rottingham Road, Port Richey between 1 and 4 p.m. on Mondays, twice a month. For an appointment, call (813) 862-9291.

President Jean Looney said attorneys who would like to join the HELP program will be given pro bono credit for their assistance. Call Looney at Bay Area Legal Services, (813) 847-5494.
