BLOW, BLOW, BLOW YOUR BOAT

Thursday's weather was great for flying a kite, lousy if you owned a boat or dared to travel in one. Winds up to 40 mph and seas of 3-4 feet were wild enough to ground these two boats on Davis Islands. Near the Gandy Bridge, a pair of intrepid if unwise fishermen were stranded on a sandbar when their small boat's motor failed. Ronald Rogers of Oldsmar and Faustino Dominguez of Tampa were rescued after about two hours.
