Eugenia Conner, a star for the Mississippi women's team during the 1980s, died of a heart attack Thursday after she collapsed while ironing clothes in Gulfport, Miss. She was 30. A coroner's report said Conner had a hyperactive thyroid, which caused fluid to build up in her lungs and her heart to enlarge and fail. Conner, a 6-foot-2 center who played in 1981-85, is the only player in Ole Miss history to be named four times to the all-SEC team.
