A man who police said was involved in the 1992 robbery of the Dunedin Publix where he was assistant manager was found innocent by a jury Thursday.
The jury deliberated about an hour before acquitting Sean E. Hill of Holiday, now 25, of three counts of grand theft, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and making a false police report, said Clearwater attorney Paul Levine.
"Our whole family is thrilled to pieces this is finally over and the truth has come out. We all knew he was innocent," said Cheryl Hill, Sean Hill's wife.
Levine said two men are in prison for their involvement in the August 1992 robbery at the store on Curlew Road.
