Space that works

(ran HC edition)

Large double dormers set into lapping roof lines, horizontal board siding, a tall brick chimney and a wide overhang entry porch combine to present an impressive facade for this traditionally styled home that offers affordable and expanded living in only 2,086 square feet.

The airy entry hall, with stairs to the second floor bedrooms, opens to the spacious living/dining area, brightened and warmed with a bay window and a masonry fireplace. At the end of the entry hall is the vaulted nook with skywall, family room and U-shaped kitchen.

Upstairs, the master bedroom has a separate bathroom and dressing area with double sinks, plus a large walk-in wardrobe. The other bedrooms share the second bath. Patios off the nook and dining areas add outdoor living space and are replaced by two connected and raised wood decks in the daylight basement version of the plan.

For building cost information contact local contractors. All plans are carefully engineered and detailed to comply with the U.B.C. Building Codes. Local building codes, if more stringent than the U.B.C., may require additional drawings or engineering which are the responsibility of the purchaser.
