Health care students can get scholarship

Coastal Jaw Surgery offers a $500 health care college scholarship to any 1993-94 Hernando County high school graduate. Applicants must pursue a career in health care. Applications may be obtained at the guidance office at the three high schools. Call 596-6804 or (800) 444-1613.

Sunray Security Systems, 110 Commercial Way in Spring Hill, recently received two awards at the Southeast United States AT&T Home Security Systems dealership meeting. One award was given for exceeding the quota for 1993, and the second was the Brand Management Award for Excellence, which is presented annually to the company with the best overall performance in service and customer satisfaction. Dolores Mann has been chosen as the Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce's Volunteer of the Month. Mann serves on the Revenue Enhancement Committee, answers phones and serves as an ambassador at chamber events. She retired to Florida three years ago from Washington, D.C., where she was with the State Department. She was born in Kentucky and lived in Ohio for many years.

Merle Roosa, LPN, has been named the Employee of the Year at Heartland of Brooksville. Roosa, who joined the Heartland staff in 1989, was honored Feb. 25 at the nursing care facility. She received gift certificates, a gold badge, an engraved plaque and a dozen red roses.


Anthony M. Farina recently joined the staff at Raymond James and Associates Inc. as a financial consultant in the company's Spring Hill office. He offers a comprehensive range of investment services on financial, retirement and estate planning to individuals and businesses. He graduated from Purdue University in 1980 with a bachelor of science degree. Raymond James is at 4345 Commercial Way.

Adrian Palmer, owner/operator with Merle Norman Cosmetics, recently joined the Palm Chapter of the American Business Women's Association. She joins thousands of working women nationwide who meet to share their experiences and needs as a working, professional woman.
