SunBanks Inc. has acquired the Regional Investment Corp., parent of Andrew Jackson Savings Bank, for $65.1-million, plus $2.9-million in 1993 year-end dividends, making it one of the largest private transactions ever in Tallahassee. Andrew Jackson Savings Bank had operations in six counties, including two subsidiaries, Premium Assignment Corp. and Baker Mortgage Loans Inc. Andrew Jackson had one Citrus branch, which opened on County Road 491 in Beverly Hills in July. That operation was merged with the SunBank branch down the road. PAC will remain in Tallahassee as a subsidiary of SunBanks Inc. and Baker Mortgage was merged with SunBank/West Florida. At the end of last year, Andrew Jackson had consolidated assets of $429-million, total loans of $380-million, and total deposits of $328-million.

Pat, Frank and Jim Wade of RE/MAX Realty One, Crystal River, recently attended the RE/MAX Annual Awards Dinner in Orlando, where Pat and Jim Wade received the 100% Club Award, RE/MAX's highest honor. Frank Wade also received the President's Club Award for outstanding sales performance. RE/MAX Realty One has named Jim Wade as Agent of the Month for February for his outstanding sales achievements.
Carol Hamilton has been named the top lister for February by Marie Powell of Citrus County Inc., Better Homes and Gardens, Inverness. Hamilton joined Better Homes and Gardens two years ago. John Burke was named the top-selling associate for February. Burke has been in real estate since 1978 and with Better Homes and Gardens for 18 months.
Louise Williams and Lori Farrington have passed the American Academy of Ophthalmology course for ophthalmic assistants. Williams and Farrington work at the Citrus Eye Center in Lecanto.
Tom Stone, a maintenance employee at the Crystal River Geriatric Center, has been selected Employee of the Month for March. Stone has been with the geriatric center since June 1991.

CRYSTAL RIVER _ Barbaron Inc., a specialized golf course builder in Crystal River, has been selected to reconstruct 18 holes at the Belleair Country Club West Course in Belleair. Barbaron's past projects include the new Ranch Course at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto.
