A Lecanto man was arrested early Monday in Crystal River after a woman who was pumping gasoline into her car said he walked up to her and exposed himself. Tony Lewis Johnson, 37, of 4848 N Pleasant Acres, Lecanto, was charged with loitering or prowling. The female victim said while she was pumping gas into her car at the Li'l Champ convenience store in Crystal River, she saw Johnson exposing himself. The woman said she drove away, but went back to the store to report the incident. Johnson was arrested nearby a short time later.
A house at 615 Bell Ave., Inverness, is home to what police say is an organized gang of young people who have been burglarizing area homes and churches. A photo in the Feb. 20 edition of the Times showed a different house on Bell Avenue.
