Mark Shellabarger has joined CB Commercial Real Estate Group Inc. as an investment property specialist. He will specialize in the marketing and sale of retail properties. Shellabarger earned a bachelor's degree at the University of Florida and law degree from Stetson University.

Gregory M. Albers has joined The Murray Company as a project manager. He will be responsible for complete project management of both medical facilities construction and corporate build to suits. He earned a bachelor's degree from Tulane University.

Laura Webber has been named copywriter of Winner Koenig and Associates. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia College of Journalism and Mass Communications and The Portfolio Center in Atlanta.

Jan H. Giordano has been named media director at Peak Barr Petrailia Biety Inc. She brings more than more 12 years experience in media planning, negotiating and analysis to her position. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Jeff Arnwine will lead the Tampa-Hillsborough Cable Advisory Committee. Candy Olson is vice chairman. Other members of the committee are Fortune Bosco, Moses Brown, Jeff Carnes, Jane Gage, Cynthia Henderson, E. Rock Roque Robert Taylor and Doris Scott. The Public Access Center Producer's Representative is C.J. Kauffman. They were appointed by the mayor, Tampa City Council and the Hillsborough County Commission to advise them on cable television matters.

David A. Huerta has joined Principal Mutual Life as a senior managed health care representative. He will be responsible for the marketing of Principal's new HMO serving Hillsborough and Pinellas counties.

Sam J. Horton has been appointed to the board of directors of Combined Health Appeal of Tampa Bay. Horton earned a bachelor of science degree and a master's degree from Florida A & M University and a doctorate degree from Nova University.

Gerald G. Lott has been appointed director of transportation engineering and David W. Gilbert has been named director of highway design of Tampa Bay Engineering. Lott will serve as project manager for the Florida Landscape and Safety Guide, right-of-way studies and various traffic operations projects. Gilbert will be responsible for the company's highway design division.

Amy Corell has joined The Rao Agency as account executive. She will help manage the agency's existing accounts and public relations while assisting with new business development. She is a graduate of the University of South Florida College of Business and earned a bachelor of science degree in marketing. The agency also hired Pam Vetzel as office manager.

Kay Cope, office manager for Dr. David McDonald, was one of 24 candidates who successfully passed the certification examination administered by the Professional Association of Health Care Office Managers. She is one of the more than 400 in the United States and one of only 86 in Florida.
