Woman injured when her Bronco flips

Published Oct. 6, 2005

Rescue workers treat Lisa M. Durbin of Kenneth City after she lost control of her 1984 Ford Bronco on Fourth Street N and 47th Avenue. Durbin, 26, was driving south on Fourth Street about 2 p.m. Tuesday when she braked for a car slowing down in front of her. St. Petersburg police Officer R. E. Gates said the Bronco hit the median then flipped onto its driver's side. Durbin's arm was caught between the Bronco and the pavement until passers-by helped free her, Gates said. Durbin was taken to Bayfront Medical Center, where she still was being treated late Tuesday. A nursing supervisor said Durbin was expected to be released by midnight.
