Corpus Hypercubus, a major painting by surrealist Salvador Dali, travels from New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art to St. Petersburg's Salvador Dali Museum for display Saturday through Sept. 4.

The painting depicts Christ on a cube-shaped cross suspended above the earth, with Dali's wife, Gala, standing at the foot of the cross, representing the Madonna. Though the style is realistic, the painting projects an aura of mysticism. One of 18 large canvases by the artist, it measures 76] inches by 48~ inches.

Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday and Monday. Admission is adults, $5; students and adults 62 and over, $3.50; state university students and children under 10 accompanied by adult, free.
