Carol Nadeau has been elected vice president and head of the residential mortgage loan department for Peoples State Bank in New Port Richey. Before the appointment, Nadeau served as an account executive with SunBank.


Mary Figg has been named to the governing board of the Southwest Florida Water Management District, based in Brooksville. Figg is the director of public service at the University of South Florida. She was a member of the Hillsborough River Basin Board from 1981 to 1982, when she was elected to the Florida House of Representatives.


AABCO Mortgage Loans and Investments Inc. has named Ron Chalkley vice president of the Countryside branch, Stan Petersen vice president of the Pasco/Hernando branch, and Joe Billera, vice president of the Tampa Bay Center branch.


Anita E. Ramirez has been named administrator and chief executive officer of Bay Area Women's Care in Clearwater. Before joining the center, Ramirez operated a health care consulting firm.


Nicole Lauria has been named sales manager for the Hyatt Regency Tampa. Before the appointment, Lauria was communications manager and reservations supervisor for the hotel.


Several bay area business executives were elected officers for the Florida Association of Public Insurance Adjusters. Raymond A. Altieri Jr. of Adjsuters International of Tampa was elected president. Charles W. Howarth of Chuck Howarth & Associates in Temple Terrace was elected treasurer, and Craig R. Tanner of National Casualty & Fire Adjusters Inc. of Clearwater was named to the board of directors.


James V. Carideo has joined the law firm Trenam, Simmons, Kemker, Scharf, Barkin, Frye and O'Neill of Tampa. Before the appointment, Carideo was vice president and general counsel for GTE South.
