Here are the winners of the Hernando County Fair Horticulture Show in April:

Cacti and succulents: Gene Goerz, blue ribbon, devil's back bone; Martin W. LeHew, blue ribbons, cacti, lady finger, monkey brain, old man cactus and family of cacti; Richard Poling, best of class and blue ribbon, jade plant and Vickie Knotts, red ribbon, aloe.

Bonsai: Martin W. LeHew, blue ribbon, bonsai; Gene Muehlbauer, blue ribbons, moss juniper, green moss juniper, japanese juniper and drake elm and best of class, blue moss juniper.

Dish gardens and terrariums: Richard Poling, blue ribbon and best of class, cacti.

Foliage plants: Vivian Humphries-Koser, blue ribbon, parsley aralia; white ribbon, oxalis regneli and best of class, parsley aralia and Gene Goerz, red ribbons, "fluffy" and Japanese birdsnest.

African violets, standard size: Jalania Seyfert, blue ribbon; June Williams, three blue ribbons and best of class.
