How I Spent My Summer Vacation

My summer vacation was the most wonderful vacation of my life. I have danced since I was 3 years old. I am currently dancing with the Step-N-Time Dance Studio in Inverness. My teacher is Heather White and she has taken an interest in me. She asked me to attend the Tremaine Dance Convention in Orlando. I had the opportunity to take dance classes from Joe Tremaine and his top dance choreographers. Joe is a well-known jazz dancer who has worked with many famous actors and dancers. His instructors teach, perform and choreograph across the country and many have performed on television, in movies and on Broadway.

My mother attended the convention with me. My day started at 8 a.m. and ended about 3 or 4 p.m. I had breaks in the morning, at lunch and in the afternoon. I was taught ballet, tap, jazz and hip-hop. The classes were very large, yet very special because of the way they were taught. The instructors made it fun and very exciting. After class, they signed autographs, and the students could get pictures taken with them. My mom got to attend all the classes to watch me. My teacher stopped in from time to time, because she was also there in the evenings.

I watched the competition, which was very interesting. Throughout the convention, I met a lot of neat kids. My feet were tired, but I had the most wonderful time of my life at the Tremaine Dance Convention.
