Still life

Once again, artist Christopher Still's annual open house takes place amid several activities in Tarpon Springs. Saturday's events include his reception, 6-10 p.m. at Tarpon Tower/AmSouth Building, 905 M.L. King Jr. Drive (also showing: St. Petersburg Times photographer Scott Keeler's lighthouses). A video about the making of Still's painting, Changing Tides, shows at 6, 6:30, 7:30, 8:45 and 10 p.m. and an original play, The Islander, by Elizabeth Bricklow, is at 7, 8:15 and 9:30 p.m., both at the Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center, 324 E Pine St. Free. ECLIPS _ Jack Barrett exhibits paintings and Douglas Land displays figurative drawings in a show opening with a reception 5:30-8:30 tonight at the Gallery at Eclips. Hours following the opening are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday through Nov. 23. Free. SPRICK _ You can see Gary Sprick's mixed media installation, Intersect, during a reception 7-9 p.m. tonight, and hear him explain the work at a coffee house forum 1 p.m. Tuesday. The work is on view 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday through Oct. 28 at Centre Gallery, room 246, Phyllis P.
