"Give a Little Back'
WTVT-Ch. 13's Good Day Tampa Bay hosts Leslie Spencer and Bill Murphy will co-host the introduction of the "Give A Little Back to Sun City Center Fund" at 3 p.m. Thursday in the Community Hall. The non-profit endowment fund was established by the board of directors of the Sun City Center Community Association to finance specific projects to enhance, refurbish or replace association facilities in the future. The plan will be presented to the association membership Thursday. The Sun City Center Big Band will provide musical entertainment, and those who already are contributing to the fund will be recognized. Speakers include George Grange, Al Hoffman, Cornell Clarke, Spencer Faircloth, Downs Spitler Jr. and Dallas Tuthill, president of the Men's Club. The Men's Club is promoting the fund. Civic association meeting
The Town 'N Country Park Home Owners Civic Association will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Jackson Springs Recreation Center, 8620 Jackson Springs Road. Becca Hall, public relations director for the Children's Home, will discuss the Home's needs and its programs involving education, personal care providers, recreation. The civic association's board has approved a project to help fund new incentive programs for children at the Children's Home. Members also will elect new officers, directors and a trustee during the meeting, and awards will be presented to this year's Yard-of-the-Year winners.
