Youth, choir will present drama

Angels, a musical drama for young people, will be presented at 10 a.m. Sunday at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 639 Edgewater Drive. Members of the senior high and middle school youth groups and the choir will present the program, which is part of "Fine Arts Sunday."

Also part of "Fine Arts Sunday" will be a concert by the Spiritual Renaissance Singers of Tampa at 4:30 p.m. in the church, followed by a reception in Kirk Hall to honor the performers. This ensemble was founded in 1989 and will present a concert of African-American spiritual music. An offering will be received.

Throughout the day, oil paintings by Tampa artist Janice McCaskill will be displayed in Kirk Hall. Call 733-4125.

Peacemaker of the Year named

TARPON SPRINGS _ Mildred Wilson of Tarpon Springs was named Peacemaker of the Year at a recent meeting of the Tampa Bay Presbytery. She was honored for her contributions to the Girl Scouts of America, church activities and community involvement. She has received a number of scouting awards and has toured four Girl Scout World Centers.

Mrs. Wilson is a retired school teacher from the Philadelphia district. She has served as an ordained elder and deacon in the Presbyterian Church and sings in church choirs.

Mark Twain is program topic

CRYSTAL BEACH _ Duane Hulse of Dunedin will present a program on Mark Twain at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Crystal Beach Community Church on Crystal Beach Avenue. He has presented the program for 17 years.

Hulse is on the staff of the United Methodist Church of Dunedin and a member of the board of directors of the Dunedin Rotary Club. The program will be preceded by an optional potluck dinner at 6 p.m. Call 784-8222.
