The Houston Oilers scare Herschel Walker more than a 1-5 team should.
The way Walker figures it, the Oilers come into tonight's game against the Philadelphia Eagles (4-2) due for a win. "You know it's going to come. You know it's going to happen," Walker said. "You just hope it doesn't happen against you.
"They are a dangerous team, because they don't feel they should be in the position that they are."
The Oilers made the playoffs for seven seasons, then allowed quarterback Warren Moon to join the Vikings.
"It's very disappointing," Houston coach Jack Pardee said. "This has been a season with a lot of change."
The Oilers scored their season high in points _ 21 _ in the opener. That also was the game when they lost Cody Carlson, longtime backup to Moon, to a separated shoulder. Carlson sat out two weeks, then reinjured the shoulder in Week 5. The Oilers went with Bucky Richardson and last week tried Billy Joe Tolliver, signed as a free agent in Week 2.
