Haunted house gets fire officials' okay to open

Fire officials have approved officially the opening of "Forboden," a haunted house Halloween spectacular built by Girls Inc. of Pinellas and Visionary Productions as a fund-raiser. The attraction got an okay from the St. Petersburg Fire Department to open from 6 to 9 p.m. every day this week through Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, and 12:30 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Gateway Mall, Dr. M. L. King (Ninth) Street and 83rd Avenue. Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for children 12 and under. Girls Inc. of Pinellas is a non-profit, youth development agency serving 2,000 girls each year in Pinellas county. Visionary Productions, a group of youths interested in theater/stage design, is donating talent and time to help Girls Inc. For information, call 544-6230.
