It's no trick: Halloween festival is moving to Pier

The 18th annual Children's Halloween Festival, sponsored by the Northside and Midtown Kiwanis clubs of St. Petersburg, will move Saturday to a new location at The Pier, 800 Second Ave. NE.

In the past, the festival was held at Fossil Park.

The festival will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Activities will include trick or treating, Halloween games, a Kiwanis costume contest and a dunking booth.

Prizes and treats will be awarded. The Shorecrest Key Club will have a face-painting table.

The costume contest will be open to children 10 and younger and begins at 11 a.m. Costumes will be judged by age category and prizes awarded at 1 p.m.

Top prizes of $50 savings bonds will be awarded for the funniest, scariest and most creative costume of all age categories.

Admission and participation is free. Donations will be accepted at the Kiwanis table to help fund this and future projects.
