Former councilman adds his name to the ballot

CRYSTAL RIVER _ Former Crystal River City Council member Sid Kennedy has added his name to the growing ballot for the Dec. 13 city election. Kennedy, who resigned his seat on the council two years ago to wage an unsuccessful campaign for county commission after serving 14 years on the council, is running for the seat held by Carson Mason. Mason and George Otto filed their paperwork seeking the seat on Monday. Incumbent Joan Ogle and Joseph Chrietzberg are seeking the other seat up for grabs, and Mayor Curtis Rich so far has just one opponent, Ron Kitchen. Qualifying for the council continues through noon Friday.
